If you are looking to discover why more and more people are raving about English wine this masterclass is for you. Corkk celebrates the emergence of high-quality English wine and Clive Barlow MW, will be talking through 3 world class examples.
Clive has been a Master of Wine for over 20 years, is a panel chair at the International Wine Challenge, was Director of Education at the renowned Institute of Masters of Wine, founded the Canterbury Wine Festival and, most importantly is an English wine expert and enthusiast! In fact, he started his career at a Hampshire vineyard! In his fun and knowledgeable style, he discusses three fabulous, premium English wines and the vineyards, with filming on location.
If you're intending to join in this masterclass, please do sign up to the Wine Festival's newsletter. That way, they can keep you updated with the latest details you'll need to know before the event.
Please do chill the white beforehand and be sure to have the wines open and glasses ready to go before the session starts. If you have a Google/Gmail account, please do sign into YouTube ahead of time too - that way you can post comments or questions live during the masterclass. Or get your social media primed and ready! If you have any problems, please email email@example.com.
For all three masterclass wines, the price is £85, plus a delivery charge of £5.90. You can also order bottles separately or individually.
P&P is free if you order 6 or 12 bottles from the case and for all orders over £100.
Squerryes Brut 2013. (winner of Gold at the 2019 Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships) Patience and joy are two principles that sum up Squerryes and the 2013 sparkling Brut most certainly reflects this. Lovely mousse, complex nose, integrated, rounded, ripeness of fruit with savoury notes.
Oxney Organic Rosé 2019 – a superlative example of an organic rosé, proving that organic wine can be very, very good - raspberries and pear on the nose, fresh and bright, full of joy.
Simpsons Roman Road 2019 (following on the 2018 winning Best in Show at the Decanter awards) – cedar spice, lemon and white peach notes with a little bit of dairy and with a graceful and long palate.
