The Terms and Conditions set out below are primarily designed to ensure the safety, well-being and satisfaction of guests attending or viewing the Event and to create the best Wine Festival possible for everyone attending:

Wine Festival Limited (‘the Promoter’) promotes the Wine Festival (‘the Event’) and attendance or participation is subject to acceptance of the following terms and conditions:

  1. If you would like to be in touch with, or updated by, Wine Festival Ltd, please subscribe to our Newsletter (as below) and keep us updated with any changes of address, contact phone number or email address, both before and after the Event. Our contact details are below. Our preferred method to contact you is email, so you should take care to provide a current, valid email address and be aware that your email filter settings may treat our emails as spam or direct them to your junk folder.
  2. ID Policy: Please remember that in order to attend or participate in Wine Festival, you must be over 18 years of age. This particularly applies to those ordering wine for at-home consumption. You may be asked for proof of ID by retailers associated with the Event. Wine Festival Ltd accepts no responsibility for this age verification process, which rests entirely with the vendor or retailer. 
  3. For the Wine Festival Online on 28 November 2020, no tickets are required for participation. This is a free-access event. Those wishing to taste along with the masterclass are encouraged to order the wines well in advance using the links on our website.
  4. For those who had purchased tickets to the 2020 event before the Covid-19 pandemic, tickets will automatically be rolled over to the same session at the 2021 event (26-27 November). This will help the organisers fund the online event on 28 November 2020 – and is much appreciated by them. Refunds are available, however. 
  5. In the event of the festival being re-scheduled within a two-year time-frame from the original planned date, the organisers reserve the right to re-allocate purchased tickets to the new date with immediate effect, with no automatic right to refund.
  6. Wine Festival Limited reserves the right to use alternative wine experts for the Event if, for any reason, Susie & Peter are unable to attend.
  7. Festival participants and Exhibitors hold total responsibility for ensuring they comply with the latest regulations regarding Covd-19 and the Promoter holds no responsibility for ensuring that said regulations are adhered to beyond encouraging the proper behaviour at the time of the Event.
  8. The Promoter undertakes to ensure the promotion and execution of Wine Festival Online in its direct control comply in as far as practicable and feasible with the applicable local and national regulations regarding Covid-19.
  9. Photography and film footage will be taken and broadcast during the Event with the purpose of promoting and publicising Wine Festival Winchester. Guests attending or participating in the event may be photographed or recorded as part of the release in any media currently known or hereafter devised, for the advertising publicity thereof in perpetuity throughout the universe. Ticket holders grant his/her permission for his/her likeness, voice and statements to be included therein without compensations, credit or other considerations. This applies to any photographs, words or other materials voluntarily submitted by participating guests eg in tasting selfie competitions, comments on YouTube/Instagram or any other media.
  10. We may share your personal information with exhibitors, sponsors, venue operators, and others as necessary for the purposes of the event. We will not otherwise share that information for marketing or any other purposes without your consent (as part of the booking process or otherwise) unless required by law.
  11. If you have registered, with Wine Festival Limited and/or any of our associated companies, your interest in receiving marketing or other information and thereby given your consent, you may be contacted with relevant promotions, offers or information that you have expressed an interest in or that might be of interest to you.
  12. We will always respect your privacy and any personal communication between you and ourselves. We will always comply with United Kingdom data protection legislation including the GDPR which came into effect in May 2018.
  13. Wine Festival Limited cannot be liable in any way for the acts or omissions of others (including exhibitors and venue operators). However, Wine Festival Limited does not seek to exclude its liability to you for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud or any other liability which cannot be lawfully excluded or limited.
  14. These terms and conditions do not create any rights or obligations enforceable by or against anyone other than Wine Festival Limited and you.
  15. The purchase by you of tickets and these terms and conditions (and any contractual or non-contractual matters arising in relation to these terms and conditions) are governed by English law and any disputes arising out of any transaction between you and Wine Festival Limited are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
  16. Wine Festival Ltd accepts no responsibility for wine deliveries organised by companies or agents associated with the Event. All wine orders, deliveries and associated arrangements are exclusively a matter for the purchaser and the vendor or retailer and the Promoter bears no responsibility for any issues arising from these arrangements, including non-fulfilment of orders and breakages. 
  17. The Promoter will make every effort to ensure delivery of the Event to a standard that can be reasonably expected. It cannot be held responsible for matters beyond its control eg fire, flood, act of God, power outage, internet outage, failure of third party platforms etc.
  18. Participants in the festival are expected to behave with decorum and respect. Anyone deemed by the Promoter not to be respecting these guidelines may be blocked, reported or barred from participation with immediate effect and no recourse to recompense or discussion.
  19. Video masterclasses are the creation of the exhibitors (or masterclass hosts). They will not necessarily feature Susie & Peter. The quality of the masterclass videos is exclusively the responsibility of the exhibitor, not the Promoter or Susie & Peter. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for the veracity, accuracy or implications of masterclass videos.
  20. THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE, FROM TIME TO TIME IN OUR SOLE DISCRETION. WE WILL NOTIFY YOU OF AMENDMENTS TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BY POSTING THEM TO THIS WEBSITE.
